Lessons in Prayer

We have been teaching Tanner how to pray, so that as he gets older he will understand the importance of prayer. I have showed him how to pray for Mama, Daddy, church and his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

I enjoy watching him fold his hands together and say his prayers. He hasn't mastered closing his eyes quite yet, but it is still a joy to listen to him pray and watch him get excited as he prepares to pray. Lord knows, I don't always come to Him with excitement when I pray.
Tonight before dinner, I told him to say his prayers and he quickly obliged with more than one prayer for my camera. And you know me...while I was taking pictures, I managed to catch a video!

As you can see in this video (sorry it is a so dark), he is feeling a lot better and back to his giggly, silly self. Of course, kids have more resiliency than their parents. Too bad I can't bottle all that energy and sell it for a small profit. Who am I kidding...I wouldn't make any money because I would need to keep it all for myself

Hope you're having a great week and all your prayers are being answered!

Yes, you can borrow "Teach Them Diligently" after I am done, it is a wonderful book. I am learning things that is helping me in my own spiritual quest. I have already started applying to my parentting as well. But I realize that I need to be more in scripture if I ever want to teach Gracie. More the reason to do it. Tanner is so funny, we just love him.
