Tanner usually runs around like a monkey on Sunday morning as we are getting dressed for church. Mama leaves to go make copies of the church bulletin and Daryl drives separately as he has youth to pick up for Sunday School. So, it is just Tanner and me. As you can probably assume, we have some very intellectual conversation. Just so happens this morning was just as enlightening as any other:
Tanner: "Hair, Momma hair!"
Me: "Yes, Momma's hair is wet!"
Tanner: "Daddy has hair..."
Me: "Yes, Daddy has hair."
Tanner: "JC has hair...."
Me: "Yes, JC has hair."
Tanner: "Papa has hair..."
Me: "Yes, Papa has hair. Not a lot, but he has some."
Tanner: "Carson has hair..."
Me: "Yes, Carson has hair."
Tanner: "What's this?"
Me: "My bra."
Tanner: "Kay." (which means okay)
Note: I am usually walking around in my underwear trying to get Tanner dressed, myself dressed, fill a sippy cup with juice, blow dry my hair, slap some makeup on, grab some diapers and toys and then rush out the door. Then when I get to church, I try to look as I have everything together. Only God knows the truth and will not dare let anyone think different.
Isn't it amazing that children notice the little things? However, I do find it odd that he didn't notice any of the ladies' hair in the family? Gosh...we are the ones that spend the most time on our hair! Oh well...I am just glad that he was talking to me...otherwise, I would have to write my conversations to myself on here and those aren't near as funny!
Hope you have a great week!
